July 24th. Isn't that crazy? We are moving on July 24th. Where? We don't know. But the when is now set in stone! I'm anxious, happy and sad all combined.
It's great because we'll be able to spend some of our summer here. We'll be able to swim at the pool and be on the swim team. We'll have plenty of time to get ready for the move and it won't conflict with the end of the school year celebrations.
Then we'll have enough time on the other end to meet some people (hopefully) and get settled in before school starts.
It's a big day and an emotional one... Lance and I are going to a matinee!

Is no news good news?

After the weekend.
Well, we had about five interested parties come in over the weekend and one of them is planning on putting down a contract tonight. So, that's great!! In the meantime, we've had two more people come in today AND the family that we could not agree to a date with have come back with another offer. Less money but more time... We have a lot to consider and we're lucky enough to have two offers. So, I'm not sure about the housing crisis, the recession or the buyers market.... that's certainly not what we're experiencing.
On the job front, Lance's LinkedIn profile has been viewed by a number of interesting people and he's submitted his resume to a few more places. He did have his call this morning with a company that is planning on opening a studio in Austin but they are still about a month from hiring people. He plans to stay in touch with them to hope that things for them solidify so they can begin interviewing and hiring. The woman said she was very interested in talking to him, but that she could not interview yet. He is very interested in this studio and the big-name company they often work for.
All else is well. The weather is so hot -- it's really incredible. It's been in the 90s.... clearly fate's way of preparing us for summers in Austin.
I thought you may like to see the house online so you can see all the changes we've made and how good it looks!!!

More soon, I'm sure...
