Well, I thought it might be good to do a quick update.
Lance has started working in California. He is happy to have that portion of the transition making progress. The rest of the Coloradoans have also arrived and offices are being set up. I'm sure they'll start working on the game again soon :)
The kids and I managed his first week away fairly well. We missed him but kept remembering that he would be home before we knew it. He was gone Monday 7:00am until Thursday 11:00pm. He did not work on Friday so we had hung out together and with the kids to make sure we got in some family time. He had a previously scheduled doctor appointment on Monday so we get to keep him for another whole day!!
Our house went on the market on Thursday and we were already under contract! It's a great relief to know that we don't have to show it or keep it clean. The new buyers have already done the inspection and appraisal so we're very happy that it is moving along so quickly. Our close date is June 3rd.
Our plan is to finish out school on the 26th of May, celebrate Henry's birthday that weekend, welcome the movers and their trucks early the last week of May and head west by the 1st of June. There is a lot to be done but we are all getting excited for this new adventure.
Only problem is that we still have not pinpointed where we will be living. I will be heading out to California to get a chance to see more neighborhoods and schools. I'm looking forward to getting back out there so I can see these spots for myself.
