Estes Park

We went to Estes Park which is about 45 minutes north of here on Monday to see the great views there and to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. We saw a bunch of Elk and some really beautiful vistas. Luke and Sadie seemed to enjoy the trip too!

Luke and Sadie are really hanging out together a lot more. Sadie is so patient and sweet though she really does like to "rough-house" with him. We keep a close eye on them while they play and as soon as we call Sadie off, she immediately complies. She seems to know that he is smaller and can't play very roughly. I think it's because she's been around kids so much and I'm always telling her to be gentle. Luke likes to beat up on her though -- nipping at her ears and hind legs. Every once in a while, we'll hear her give him a warning.

The kids are getting used to having Luke around. They love playing him with him and are trying to help as much as possible.

Lots to report...

So, since I last posted... we've had company (Beth's parents), we had our two final regular season lax games, we started swim team, we had our last day of school and we finally brought our golden retriever puppy (Luke) home.
