On Thursday evening, Lance accepted the job at NetDevil as the Executive Producer of their new super-secret project. He is very excited for the challenging work to come and feels like he'll fit in well at this great company. He was impressed with everyone he met and is excited to begin working from Virginia on Monday. He ended up have a total of 6 months, 3 weeks off work and he's ready to get back to it! He will work from here until we are ready to move... which hopefully will be soon.
Next step is to sell our house here. It is back on the market so please feel free to forward our MLS listing to anyone you know who might be looking for a great house in Fairfax City.
As soon as we get a viable offer on the Hill St. house, we will head back out to Colorado to look for a house there. We looked at a lot of places this past week and know there are a lot of great houses available in Louisville and neighboring Superior. The schools are top-notch so we'll be happy wherever we end up. Our timing is a little off though because they already started school so the kids will miss the first few weeks or so. Luckily, we have a little time on this side before school starts here. If we get to September 8th (our first day of school) and still don't have any interest on the house, we'll keep them here. We don't want to put the kids in a school out there without being in a house so that we can be flexible about neighborhoods. There are three schools there that I'd be completely comfortable with so it's best to keep them here until we are sure of where we will live out there.
So, there you have it. A long six months of uncertainty and a lot of hard choices during that time but we are super happy that we waited for the right offer with the right company in the right place.
Now the hard part of packing begins... UGH!!!
