Spring break fun in NJ.

We started our spring break in NJ at Grandma and Papa's house.

A fun trip to NYC to see the Empire State Building.
(Also known at the base of Mount Olympus to you Percy Jackson fans!)

Another day we visited Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Emily loved seeing it all because she just studied Immigration in her 2nd grade class here in Colorado.

Riding the boat to both islands was a great hit!!

Here's the gang on the boat in front of Ellis Island.

Henry and Emily are ready to see Lady Liberty.

This is a tough shot to get -- you don't have much space to back up for the photo. We did not go to the crown because it would have been a long walk up those stairs. But going to the pedestal was perfect. The day was not very nice -- kinda dreary and rainy but you could still see NYC and Ellis Island.

Next post will be the Virginia part of our trip....

Henry's lax season begins...

Henry is #41 and played both defense and attack this past Saturday. Unfortunately, it was not a winning effort but the boys are just getting in their groove!
Emily's first practice is tonight -- we're excited for another fun girl's season too.
Check out the lovely view from our field. Nothing like snow-capped mountains to add to the lax fun.
