Same old....

Well, not much has changed since our last post.

The house passed inspection with flying colors and all we need to do is have the chimney swept. We knew we were in good shape because we worked so hard to make sure everything was working and in really good condition. But it does feel good to get that off the checklist. Now we are waiting for the appraisal which should be sometime soon. It seems like now that the contract is signed, we're not really in much of a rush.

With the job hunt, Lance has a few companies who are interested in talking to him and he will hopefully be travelling to Austin next week or the week after to go meet some of these people face to face. Since I've already been there once and in all likelihood, we'd not be looking for houses yet, I would probably not join him on this trip.

Everything else is good here. Lance and I have been enjoying our time alone -- going downtown to the Spy Museum and on a Capitol tour, seeing matinees, and have lunch out. It has been so nice and definitely one of the things we were both looking forward to. Now that the house is done, we basically don't have anything to do! And since the job hunt now is so reliant on people calling Lance back, he has a lot of free time! The kids are definitely enjoying having Daddy home all the time and it does make for some good family time!!
