Our spring break... part two!

Visiting Virginia

We spent the first night at Ellen's after arriving in town via Amtrak to Union Station. The next morning, we headed to Grandma and Grandaddy's to visit for a while. Since the Fairfax kids were still in school, we went over to Providence to be there when they all got out of school! It was great to see the old school and all our friends!!

Of course, we had to drive past the Hill Street house to see if there were any obvious changes. There were none! It looked exactly the same. We were sad that we did not go in and see the changes on the inside. Even the old deck chair was still pushed up against the big tree where our zip line used to be!
Of course, it would not be a trip to Grandma and Grandaddy's without a meal at the kids' absolute favorite spot -- Old Country Buffet.
Next night, we spent at Heather's with our playgroup friends. Heather hosted a great meal with all the kids. It was perfect mayhem but we were so happy to see everyone and catch up!
The kids had dinner (pizza with Sponge Bob) while the adults ate in the dining room.
We visited with Bobby and Alicia's kids for a while on Saturday -- their Robert loved playing with Henry!
Saturday, we went to Ellen's where Amy and Kendra were meeting us for a girl's night out. Thankfully John was willing to take four kids for pizza! We went out to our old favorite in Falls Church, Pilin Thai. It was yummy (and a little spicier than I remember)
The next morning Chris and the girls came to Ellen's for brunch. All the kids were so happy to see each other and catch up. Henry and Will spent most of the time building Legos while Emily played with Susanna and Annabel!

Sunday dinner at Coastal Flats with Lance's family -- the only one missing was Lance! Of course, I was so excited to get to eat there (again!)
We did visit with a lot of other people but I just did not have my camera handy. Oh well, memories were made regardless. It was a great trip. So hard to leave all our friends back east but we were ready to come home to Lance, Sadie and life as normal!
