Photos...

I've been meaning to post pictures... Here are some!!

The kids are excited about the new house!

Right when you walk in the front door, you walk into this room. I'm calling it the sitting room. It has the original (refinished) hardwood floors from 1939, plaster walls, and the original fireplace. Someday maybe we'll have the white surround and mantle removed and have it restored to it's orginal state.

You next room you walk into is where the kitchen table is -- this whole configuration is going to be redesigned as soon as we move it. This room has one small round table and that's it. The stairs are on the right. There is even a room for Harry Potter to live as there is a cupboard under the stairs! The paneled door with the fogged glass is the entrance into the garage.

From there, you walk straight into the kitchen. This kitchen is in dire need of some love and we intend to gut it and start fresh as soon as we move it. YAY, yet another renovation. Why do I keep doing this to myself???

You may notice a white area before the door opening to the great room. That is the former laundry room and will become a part of the kitchen with pantry type storage. The brick wall is going to be removed.

In front of this little peninsula, you take a left and go through a door to the original two bedrooms and one bath. This will end up being our office and guest room.

This room has a small twin daybed it in and a thin dresser. It will be our guest room.

This blue room has a desk and some kids play stuff and will end up being our office. Lance is really looking forward to sharing an office again with me :) (not!)

Going upstairs....

You turn a corner to this long hallway. Our room is on the right. Emily's is the first door on the left and Henry's is the 2nd. At the end of the hall is the kid's bathroom. The entire upstairs was gutted and redesigned four years ago.

Emily's room is a pale lilac. She loves the color!

Henry's room is a light blue. He's happy with the color of his room too!

This is their bathroom -- double sink, pocket door to shower and toilet. It's great for two kids of non-same gender to share.

Here's our room.

And our bathroom...
